The Opportunity
This role will suit someone who enjoys being the person behind the scenes making things work.
The core remit is straightforward in concept but requires real capability in execution. The principal travels extensively and needs someone who can take ownership of travel planning and expense management with a high degree of accuracy, responsiveness and common sense.
The successful candidate will work closely with the COO and wider business support team, but the day-to-day focus of the role will be supporting the principal directly in relation to:
• complex international travel planning and booking
• itinerary management across changing schedules and time zones
• coordination of flights, accommodation, transfers and practical travel logistics
• preparation, tracking and submission of expenses
• keeping supporting records, receipts and travel-related administration organised and up to date
• dealing calmly and efficiently with last-minute changes, cancellations or disruptions
This is an important support role in a high-performing environment and will suit someone who is comfortable taking ownership, working with minimal supervision and being relied upon to get things right.
About You
We are open to candidates from a range of support backgrounds, including Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, private office, travel coordination or similar roles.
What matters most is that you are highly organised, calm under pressure and genuinely strong on detail.
You will likely bring:
• experience coordinating complex travel arrangements and associated administration
• a highly organised and methodical approach
• the ability to stay calm when plans change or timelines tighten
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• a discreet and professional manner
• a proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership
• comfort working around a senior individual with a busy and changeable schedule
Experience supporting senior executives, principals or partners would be advantageous. Experience in financial services, professional services or private office environments would also be helpful, but is by no means essential.
Additional Information
The role is Jersey-based and our client is open to the structure of the position, including reduced or flexible hours, provided the successful individual can deliver the support required. It may therefore suit someone seeking a high-quality support role with a degree of flexibility, without compromising on standards or responsibility.
