The Role
This is a contract role for a Senior Financial Accountant (term of 12 months). The individual will be responsible for the financial accounting of multiple Group and affiliated entities. The role holder will be expected to provide financial analysis on a range of corporate accounting topics and support plans to improve efficiency, with the opportunity to provide insightful recommendations to updates in accounting policies, procedures and controls.
The Senior Financial Accountant’s tasks will also span year-end Consolidation of accounts, the processing of day-to-day financial transactions, preparation of monthly management accounts working in collaboration with the FP&A team and involvement in the planning of annual audits and the production of statutory financial statements.
- Preparation and reporting of management information, cash flow forecasting, and key involvement in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process with thoughtful analysis to identify important data insights where appropriate for team stakeholders.
- Performance of month-end management and year-end statutory consolidations working as part of the group consolidation function.
- Involvement in external audit process and the preparation of financial statements under Swiss GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102.
- Working as part of the Group Finance team members to optimise and champion the use of current and future technology, assist with driving efficiencies and improvements in the finance transformation process and being a positive agent for change.
- Management of accounting ledgers with responsibility for maintaining their integrity and resolution of any issues (intercompany reconciliation, bank reconciliations, etc.) – exposure is to multiple jurisdictions.
