Our client, a rapidly expanding, market-leading company operating in the competitive world of online Technology / Digital Media, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team in St. Helier, Jersey. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this is an opportunity to work on diverse legal matters and play a key role in supporting the company’s continued global growth.
The Role
As Legal Counsel, you will be at the forefront of legal operations, providing strategic and commercial legal support across corporate, commercial, and technology-related matters. Your contributions will help the legal team operate more effectively and efficiently, ensuring the business remains agile and legally robust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a variety of legal transactions and projects across global operations.
- Provide key legal support in corporate and commercial law, including contract negotiations and risk management.
- Oversee the review and negotiation of supplier and tooling contracts via the procurement platform.
- Support corporate transactions, including M&A activity as required.
- Assist with intellectual property, employment law, corporate structuring, and strategic legal initiatives.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors in multiple jurisdictions to ensure effective legal counsel.
- Drive improvements in legal operations, processes, and systems to enhance team efficiency.
What You’ll Bring:
- 1-2 years PQE as a qualified lawyer with experience in commercial, corporate, and/or technology law.
- Strong ability to analyse complex legal issues and deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach, with the confidence to take ownership of legal matters and drive business objectives forward.
