Are you a qualified accountant looking to move closer to the investment decision-making process?
Keen to step out of pure processing and into a genuinely value-add fund finance role?
Interested in joining a high-quality private equity platform at a pivotal point in its next fund cycle?
Our client is a well-established, international private equity manager with a strong track record across multiple flagship funds. With several billion under management and a growing global footprint, they are now strengthening their Jersey-based funds team as they prepare for their next fundraise.
This is an excellent opportunity to join before their next fund launch, gaining exposure to fund structuring, investor reporting, valuations and cash management before the next vehicle goes live.
The role
Working closely with senior fund finance leadership, the role will focus on higher-value internal fund activities, with routine administration remaining outsourced. Responsibilities will include:
- Oversight and review of work prepared by third-party administrators
- Preparation and review of quarterly investor reports and valuation materials
- Reviewing capital calls, distributions, management fees and carried interest calculations
- Supporting responses to investor and ESG-related queries
- Monitoring fund capacity, cash flow and deal pipeline requirements
- Reviewing financial statements, AIFMD reporting and tax deliverables
- Liaising with auditors, advisors and internal investment teams
- Supporting new deal processes, including investment checklists and KYC
Quarter ends are naturally busy, but the workload is structured and far more balanced than an audit environment.
The profile
Our client is open on background and would welcome applications from:
- ACA / ACCA qualified accountants
- Those coming from fund accounting, audit or internal fund finance roles
- Candidates looking to develop long-term within private equity fund finance
Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders are key.
Why this role?
- Join a high-quality PE platform ahead of its next major fundraise
- Broad exposure across the full fund lifecycle
- Small, well-regarded Jersey team with direct access to senior stakeholders
- Competitive base salary, strong bonus and benefits package
- Long-term career development rather than a transactional role
