The Company

Our client is a well-funded start-up driving a new cryptocurrency token launch, backed and run by leaders from both the DeFi and TradFi worlds. With over 150 people globally – spanning developers, software engineers, venture specialists, and business-builders – they’re creating an ecosystem that combines technical innovation with financial credibility.

They are remote-first, with no offices but Twice-yearly offsites bring the team together, but otherwise, you can be based anywhere in the UK, Channel Islands, or a similar timezone.

The Role

Reporting directly to finance leadership, you’ll be second hire on the finance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own core financial operations while helping shape the reporting, controls, and processes of a business set to scale fast. Expect exposure to crypto, venture-style investments, and the mechanics of token economics – but also expect to be in the weeds: managing payables, preparing management accounts, and making sure the books are watertight. Building this core skill-set is fundamentally important for a future FD of any business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Being responsbile for the smooth running of core in-hosue finance functions (books, reporting, reconciliations).
• Preparing management accounts, reporting packs, and financial insights for senior leadership.
• Assisting with budgets, cash flow forecasting, and expense oversight.
• Overseeing payables and expense claims.
• Supporting the CFO on investment, trading, and treasury reporting.
• Staying ahead of accounting and digital asset regulations.
• Many more exciting projects

The Person

• The number one requirements are dedication, passion, enthusiasm and interest in getting the details right.
• Newly or recently qualified ACA (or equivalent); ideally from a top 20 accountancy practice
• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
• Ambitious, adaptable, and willing to dive into the detail.
• Open-minded about crypto – you don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to be curious and interested.
• Excited by the chance to work hard in a fast-moving, unconventional environment.
