The Client
Our client, a high-growth investment firm, is seeking a Finance Associate to play a key role in shaping and scaling their financial and operational processes. This is an opportunity to work closely with the CFO and wider senior leadership team and drive the firm’s financial strategy as they expand. Level wise, this firm is non-traditional for the Jersey market, we are looking for candidates from Part/Nearly Qualified up to 2-3 years post qualified. Fit, drive, determination is more important.
The Role
As a Finance Associate, you will take ownership of critical financial operations, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and process optimisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting & Accounting – Design and implement reporting structures for both the management company and investment vehicles, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, intercompany transactions, and financial statements.
- Technical Accounting & Compliance – Navigate complex accounting areas, including consolidations, valuations, tax adjustments, and insurance accounting.
- Business Process Optimisation – Develop scalable finance processes across accounts payable, expenses, and payroll to support multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance – Support tax filings and compliance across the US, UK, Jersey, and Guernsey, ensuring accuracy with minimal reliance on third-party advisors.
- Budgeting & Cost Management – Track and analyse expenditure, drive cost-efficiency projects, and model financial outputs to optimise return on investment.
- Strategic Finance Projects – Contribute to key initiatives such as standardised reporting, capitalisation table management, and transfer pricing frameworks.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, thinking critically, and solving complex problems from first principles. The successful candidate will have:
- A hands-on, practical approach to financial problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills and a deep curiosity for understanding how things work.
- The ability to tackle complex accounting matters (existing knowledge is great, but the ability to learn quickly is even more important).
- A keen eye for detail and precision in execution.
- Level wise, this firm is non-traditional for the Jersey market, we are looking for candidates from Part/Nearly Qualified up to 2-3 years post qualified. Fit, drive, determination is more important.
