Our client, an global Private Equity firm, is seeking a skilled and driven Associate to join their Principal Investments team in Jersey. Key Responsibilities
Valuations & Strategic Reporting
- Conduct detailed valuations across diverse investment portfolios, learning from a collaborative team of experts both internally and externally
- Monitor cashflows / DCF models, forecast liquidity, and ensure precision in performance-based calculations, including LTIP and carried interest vehicles.
- Provide comprehensive asset and portfolio-level reporting to support decision-making.
Finance & Operations Oversight
- Collaborate with third-party administrators to ensure seamless transaction processing, accurate NAV reviews, and high-quality fund accounting.
- Oversee / revenue monthly financial reporting, analyse portfolio trends, and deliver performance insights, including key metrics like internal rates of return (IRR) and multiples.
- Lead the year-end audit process, ensuring compliance with valuation standards and financial controls.
Driving Change & Innovation
- Be a key advocate for process automation, streamlining repetitive tasks, and advancing the firm’s technological capabilities.
- Foster strong relationships with portfolio company CFOs, investment office leaders, and internal teams to deliver operational excellence.
- Contribute to building an agile, entrepreneurial culture focused on efficiency and growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent with 2+ years’ post-qualification experience in Fund Accounting.
- Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of NAV calculations, fund accounting, and private equity structures.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: Highly organised, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Collaborative Mindset: A team player with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
