AI Innovation Analyst – Investment Research and Operational workflows – Graduates in Artificial Intelligence / Computer Science or 0-3 years experience in any financial services/investment/operations considered

Are you the person in the room constantly thinking “there has to be a smarter way to do this”?

Do you spend your spare time experimenting with AI tools, automations, research workflows or large language models while everyone else is still talking about them theoretically?

Do you want to become one of the first genuine AI implementation specialists within Jersey’s financial services industry – not in a consultancy PowerPoint role, but inside a live, ambitious business willing to back your ideas properly?

Our client is offering what is genuinely one of the most amazing and forward-looking opportunities we have worked on in the Jersey market.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a growing and entrepreneurial FS group, with direct backing from senior leadership to help pioneer how AI is implemented across real-world financial services environments.

The successful individual will work across investment research, operational workflows, internal productivity, reporting processes, knowledge management, automation opportunities and broader AI adoption initiatives across the group.

The business already sees AI as transformational. What they now want is someone bright, commercially curious and genuinely obsessed with the potential of the technology to help drive that transformation internally.

You could be:

  • A high-calibre graduate or post-graduate with a Masters in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline
  • Someone from a Jersey finance background (0-5 years) with a strong, demonstrable interest in AI and emerging technologies
  • A technically minded individual already building automations, AI workflows or productivity systems in your own time (again 0-5 years)
  • A junior professional within wealth management, funds, trust, compliance, operations or investments who sees where the industry is heading before everyone else does

Most importantly, they are looking for intellectual curiosity, initiative and someone who wants to build rather than simply maintain.

Potential projects could include:

  • AI-enhanced investment research workflows
  • Process automation across operational and administrative functions
  • AI-assisted reporting and document generation
  • Workflow optimisation within corporate services environments
  • Testing emerging AI tools and identifying practical business applications
  • Building scalable internal systems that improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Working directly with leadership on long-term AI strategy

The opportunity for the right person is enormous.

Rather than entering a rigid graduate structure, you will have the ability to carve out your own path within a business that actively wants someone to help shape the future of how it operates.

You will gain exposure across multiple business lines, work closely with decision-makers and have the freedom to explore ideas that most firms in the market are still years away from implementing properly.

This is the first role of its kind I have worked on in Jersey – and likely the first of many to come.

The successful candidate is will demonstrate:

  • Genuine passion for AI and emerging technologies
  • Strong intellectual curiosity
  • Commercial thinking alongside technical interest
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starting mentality
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Interest in finance, investing, operational efficiency or business optimisation
  • Strong academic profile and/or evidence of practical experimentation with AI tools

For the right individual, this could become a defining career opportunity at the very beginning of the AI transformation cycle within offshore financial services.
