The Opportunity

Our client is a global hedge fund with a highly regarded platform.

This opportunity sits within a small, specialist team supporting the firm’s proprietary trading activity — focused on deploying internal capital across globally diverse asset classes.

 

The Role

You’ll join a lean, internationally connected team, gaining exposure to a trading-driven environment that sits closer to the core of how capital is deployed.

The role combines technical accounting, group consolidation and financial oversight, within a setting that is materially more dynamic than a standard fund structure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership across key aspects of critical monthly financial management
  • Preparation and review of financial statements (US GAAP / IFRS)
  • Involvement in group consolidations across multiple entities
  • Coordination of NAV reporting and related financial data
  • Interaction with global stakeholders across the business
  • Participation in ongoing finance projects and process improvements

 

The Profile

  • 3–8+ years’ experience within Accounting for:
    • Hedge funds
    • Investment management
    • Alternative assets (Private Equity acceptable)
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting and consolidations
  • ACA / ACCA / equivalent required
  • Confident operating in a fast-paced, international environment

 

Useful but not essential

  • Experience within a proprietary trading or hedge fund platform
  • A genuine interest in markets and trading activity
