We are looking for an exceptional accountant with 0-2 years PQE to join my client in an exciting role!
The Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing UK renewable energy developer and project funder, delivering solar and infrastructure solutions to commercial and industrial businesses.
This is not a traditional finance role.
You’ll join a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where decisions are made quickly, and finance sits at the centre of the business — not in the background.
With a planned capital raise and first-year audit ahead, this is a rare opportunity to step into a role with genuine exposure to:
- Project finance
- Investor reporting
- Commercial decision-making
- Business scaling
You’ll work directly with the CFO and senior leadership, gaining visibility that simply doesn’t exist in larger organisations.
The Role
This is a broad, commercially focused Financial Controller position with real ownership.
Don’t be intimidated by the title if you’re early in your career; we’re specifically looking for someone straight from audit or early on in their Financial Management career with 0-2 years PQE.
Financial Reporting & Control
- Ownership of monthly management accounts and group reporting
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Supporting audit readiness and external reporting
Commercial & Project Finance Exposure
- Financial modelling across solar and energy projects
- Monitoring project profitability and lifecycle performance
- Supporting investment decisions alongside commercial teams
- Exposure to funding processes and capital raising
Cash & Treasury
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Managing banking relationships and funding structures
Business Partnering
- Acting as a key finance contact across the business
- Supporting senior leadership with financial insights
- Contributing to strategic decision-making

What We’re Looking For
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Recent audit background (Big 4 or Top 10 ideally) or industry qualified
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / IFRS)
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Commercial mindset — not just reporting-focused

Location
- Jersey-based
- Monthly travel to UK (approx. 4 days per month)
