Financial Accountant – New to Jersey – Multi-Billion Dollar Hedge Fund
Are you a newly/recently qualified accountant who wants to make a career defining move to be part of the first wave of hires for a high-growth hedge fund setting up in Jersey?
Would you like exposure to both corporate finance and fund accounting in a globally expanding hedge fund?
Are you ambitious to learn directly under a senior finance leader while working with complex structures?
Our client, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund, is opening a new Jersey office as part of its global growth. This is a rare chance to be in the first wave of hires, working alongside the newly appointed Head of Finance to build substance locally while gaining exposure across group reporting, FP&A and fund oversight. Roles like this, with genuine breadth and senior visibility, don’t appear every week, or even every year.
What you’ll do:
- Support group-level consolidations and reporting across a complex structure.
- Contribute to FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Gain hands-on involvement in fund accounting for treasuries, CLOs, structured notes and internal funds.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Support investment reporting and monitor allocations across multiple asset classes.
- Liaise with auditors and external service providers.
- Provide analysis, reconciliations and financial commentary to senior stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
- Newly / recently ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in audit or fund accounting.
- Background in financial services, funds or corporate accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, consolidations and fund accounting.
- Drive, ambition and the confidence to take on responsibility in a small, senior-facing team.
This is an exciting, career-defining opportunity to step into a role with genuine substance, learning directly from senior leadership in a high-growth hedge fund environment.
